Most dental plans run on the calendar year, so what you don't use by December 31 doesn't carry over. If there's treatment you've been meaning to start, or a cleaning you've been putting off, we'll check what your plan has left before you decide anything. Call or text (805) 653-1599, or book online.

What can reset on January 1

Your annual maximum

It starts over, and unused benefits from this year are gone.

Preventive and diagnostic benefits

Benefits for cleanings, exams and X-rays may reset.

Your deductible

It may start again.

Your FSA

If you have an FSA, this is also a good time to check your remaining balance, since unused funds may expire depending on your plan.

We'll do the homework

What your plan has left

You don't need to know what your plan has left. Call or text us, or book a visit, and we'll check your remaining benefits and estimate what your share would be.

In writing, first

You'll have the numbers before anything starts, and no decision is expected on the day.

If there's more to do than fits before the holidays

That's okay. In some cases, thoughtfully sequencing treatment between this year and next can help you make better use of your available benefits. Dr. Efner will help you decide what makes sense to do first, so every step supports the next.

Insurance, financing, and no insurance

We're in network with Cigna PPO, and we file claims for other PPO plans so you can use your benefits with us. For the part insurance doesn't cover, financing through Cherry and CareCredit, including interest-free options, can spread the cost. No dental insurance? Ask us about our in-house membership plan: your exams, cleanings and more for one yearly fee.

Calm. Gentle. Kind.

Questions people ask

Is it too late this year?

Not at all. There's still time, but appointments tend to fill up as we get closer to the end of the year.

Do I need to know my benefits before I call?

No. We'll check for you and let you know what's still available before you decide anything.

It's been years since I've seen a dentist. Is that a problem?

Not with us. You're not in trouble, and you won't get a lecture. We'll start with a conversation and go from there.

Will you push me into treatment?

No. We'll show you what we see, explain your options and what each costs, and you decide what to do and when.

Most dental benefits reset December 31. Let's take a look at what you have left and make the most of your benefits before the year ends.
